ABOUT:
The St Louis Park Police Department has 52 sworn officers and 17 civilian personnel, including 7 dispatchers, 6 support staff, 1 community liaison and 3 community service officers. St. Louis Park Police Reserve unit is made up of 15-25 volunteers. The department has six volunteer Chaplains. Dispatch The Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) is staffed by 7 full-time dispatchers. Dispatchers are on duty t24hrs per day. The dispatchers use Computer Aided Dispatch in conjunction with an integrated E911 system to process calls for service and manage information critical to responding police, fire and medical units. Calls for service are also sent electronically to responding police officers via a mobile computer (MCD) system. |
